And Our Favorite Dwight Snoop Is...
...no surprise here--dear Tricia Marie Dwight! She goes back to the very start of the Snoops, debuting as a cute, spunky sixth-grade brand-new Snowdenite in The Case of the Snatched Sitters and The Snoops Prequel. Back then she was all wannabe-schoolgirl cute,
sweaters and tab-collar blouses and knee socks and loafers, which served her in good stead in those first Snoop dramas! And of course that impish, apple-cheeked face and wide, big brown eyes made her not only a charming young sleuth, but a painfully sympathetic damsel when caught by the bad guys! Lucky for us, she survived those first mysteries and by the end of her middle-school years had started to grow into the Trish we've come to love--the Trish who turned her wannabe-schoolgirl style into the "preppy-grunge" that her sister Megan never ceases to ridicule and our GDIT hostess-with the mostest Deanna loves!
It's a style that may give Megan a headache, but it also seems to be enjoyed by most of our Snowden community! She's bright, occasionally sassy, funny, witty, and has managed to not only survive, but solve, perhaps more Snoop cases than all the rest of her little gang! And that includes a whole bunch of villains who have tried unsuccessfully to do her and her friends in! Hence our new poll; which of Tricia's middle-school nemeses have been most dangerous, threatening, and all-'round entertaining? Enjoy her little portrait gallery here, and don't forget to vote early and often!
I should tell you that I didn't vote for Trish, but her older sister. I saw Trish as a little pest for Megan and the gang at first, but she later grew up into a fantastic sleuth with a sharp mind (and tongue also). I'm curious as to what her snooping will be when she's off to college, since there's already a cadre of younger snoops already in place to take over full time.
ReplyDeleteI've had some ideas about that, and even begun to draft a little bit of a tale, but I'm not squite sure where to put it--as they will be college coeds at that time (tentaive name The Snowden State Snoops), their exploits might not be all quite exactly in the PG-13 line. Not really salacious as such, but their situations will tend to befit what college students often deal in, so...
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I'm not at all yet ready to finish Trish and Company's high-school exploits yet, so I'm freezing the clock a la the Wells Machine, and keeping it 2008 for a while longer. There are a couple high-school exploits yet left for Trish's contingent, and only then will I let them graciously fade into Snowden State and leave the Snoop field entirely to Abbie, Serenity, Leslile, Cora, and their younger lieutenants Taylor, Aisha, and Bobbi...
You know how much I love Trish... hee hee.
