Snoops—the Next Generation…

Generations pass by one another, and so it is in Snowden too. While the gang centered around Megan Dwight and Alyson Carson are well into their Snowden State careers, the first group of Snoops we followed from their middle-school years onward are ready to move up and out of Darius Allen High to finish their teen years at Snowden State—that is, Tricia and Krysten, Hannah and Maggie, and their Wiltontown friend Carrie Lamm. Their last Snowden Snoop case, The Case that Ended the Beginning, will soon start on our lady Deanna’s GDIT site. Perhaps we’ll see them as Snowden State Snoops; maybe they’ll put in an appearance or several to help out Abbie and Serenity, Cora and Leslie and Allie as they take their place in the halls of Darius Allen…

But there’s yet another gang of future Snoops starting to make their appearances, the youngest of our young ladies! In Little Girls Lost, Abby Dwight Giles’s two daughters (so far), Penny (top left) and Helena(top right)—now three and two years old, accounting for the time slip at GDIT—made their first appearance, the subjects of Cora’s good care and Ben Russell’s evil plotting. In only a few years, Penny and Helena will almost certainly be starting promising Junior Snoop careers! And they won’t be alone, either; their cousin Vivie Dwight (bottom left)—Travis and Dru’s firstborn—will be around, and so will Penny’s favorite playmate, Brian and Leah Pillsberry’s spirited daughter Gabrielle (bottom right), appropriately nicknamed Gabby! Here are their first portraits for you to enjoy!

Which leads to our poll question. What age is best for a girl to get her start in Snooping? We first saw Trish and Friends dive into a case in their sixth-grade year, and Aisha and her friend Taylor appeared in Ghost of Camp Evergreen as almost-second-graders, the same age Emma, Destiny, and Susie were in The Haunted School Mystery. So tell me, voters—what’s the best age for a girl to start in the Snooping business? Vote early and often…

  1. The poll is lacking an option. How about "none of the above"?

  2. I think the best time to start being a Serious Snoop is when you're young enough to walk into trouble and old enough to do more about it than cry.

    Sixth grade works for me.
